Solution Focused Questions, for Late Adulthood and their family members.โโ ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ง
My focus is on Late Adulthood clients, those that want to create a legacy, rekindle their passions and dreams they have left dangling on the back burner for so long. Those in retirement now rethink and exit retirement and build new businesses instead! Drawing on their vault of wisdom, unique experiences, and expertise honed over many years. Clients, in many cases, are at the crossroads of their lives and are in the best position to be influential. Questions for consideration: "Can I make my life count and make a difference to myself and the others around me?๐
Those in mature adulthood that to age positively are a worthwhile pursuit.โญ๏ธ
Or those that want the guidance of their tremendous benefits of unparalleled awareness, the very essence of VIP status they hold for their families and significant others!
This alone has a significant influence on Solution-Focused positive outcomes!
Listen and watch Anne Murray deliver this significance!
I'll demonstrate how broad this impact is!
Solution Focused Questions , calm and non-confrontational. Asking about their strengths, beliefs and values soothes their responses to positive outcomes.
The video above gives you a sense of this tranquillity.
Potential Game Changers!
I am using the thunderbolt ๐ power of "Three" and choose either of the following, Trifecta, Hat Trick and A-B-C of it!
We provide the momentum for trio collaboration of the client, and you ((their VIPs) and me, the practitioner.
With this combination, a catalyst is born, triggering positive solutions for the three of us!
Once again, three powerful revolving forces:๐ซ
The client is the expert of their life,
Drawing on their strengths and resources, validated, amplified by their VIPs.
The positive questions I ask to magnetise and boost the client's qualities, providing the foundations for a positive outcome!
Human relationships are bound to happen.
Gratefully using Dr Anne Lutz's Magic Square Blueprint as a highly effective circuit breaker to manage most confronting traumas.
I choose Solution Focused Questioning above all other therapies because it wholeheartedly embraced evidence-based Positive Psychology. It was instrumental positively in our family lives, unaware of the labelling at the time!
Something unusual and unexpecting about these questions framed in Anne's Magic Square, I'll let you kind folk sense the difference!
The client has the opportunity to feel good about themselves.
The usual rhetoric:
Why did you do such a thing? Anything along these lines is going to make the client defensive and more troubled than ever!
The positive differences elicited with the Magic Square of the client's saturated problem narrative.
"Wow". I didn't know I had those strengths; my thoughts were overwhelmed by the muddy waters of the problems".
Some metaphors for Scaling questions:
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals won at the Tokyo Olympics; notice the milliseconds between each award!๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Maybe the winner of the gold spent a couple of minutes each day visualising the winning event against the silver event winner.
The slight edge compounded the effect over the years of training.
Likewise, moving up just one point scaling!
The awesome questioning and potential responses highlighted in the Magic Square ๐จ, with nail-biting accuracy; look at the following example:
One day as a small child, Thomas Edison came home from school and gave his mother his sealed report card.
He told his mother she was the only one who could read it.
"What does it say, mum?"
Her eyes welled as she read the report out loud to Thomas.
"Your son is a genius; this school is too small for us to teach him. "Would you please teach him yourself"
The rest is history!
After his mother died, Edison found the original report hidden in a closet. His old teacher wrote:
"Your son is mentally deficient; we won't let him come back to school anymore".
In Thomas Edison's memoirs, it was my mother who turned me into a genius!
Anne's Magic Square suggests to me there's genius discovering strengths, resources and VIPs as a springboard for Best Hopes!
Edison's mother excellent example of a VIP for her son!
The power of the three I mentioned previously is evident in the current Tokyo: Olympic Games.
The athletes โโ
Their coaches and,
Their VIPs.
Maybe the winner of the gold spent a couple of minutes each day visualising the winning event against the silver event winner.
The slight edge compounded the effect over the years of training.
Solution Focused Questions, powerful metaphor!
Thomas Edison stated in his memoirs that his mother was the one to lead him to genius inventive capabilities. She ignored the harshly negative school report, and recreated one of possessing character strengths with unlimited capabilities!
What a wonderful VIP is mother was to her son, and the rest of the world!
